Physical-technical basics of eddy current testing

Eddy current testing is a non-destructive, non-contact method for inspecting metallic surfaces for defects like cracks and pores. High-frequency electromagnetic interactions are used to detect and evaluate these – manually or automatically (100% inspections). This training course teaches the physical fundamentals underlying the test method and provides insights into the sensors used.

TRAINING GOALS

You will learn the physical fundamentals of eddy current testing and its key concepts. By the end of the hour, you will be able to differentiate between the behaviors and properties of absolute versus differential systems.
